Trust is on the job to provide suitable literature to the readers concerning all these centenaries. Of these centenaries two are directly concerned with Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji which occured in the year 2004 and 2008 AD. To create more and more awareness about Guru Granth Sahib -- Guru of Human Race, Alag Shabad Yug Trust has prepared more than two dozen books on the subject, some of the following publications in English, Hindi, Panjabi and Gujrati are mentioned below.

  • An introduction to Sri Guru Granth Sahib
  • Bhagatas of Guru Granth Sahib
  • Bhatts of Guru Granth Sahib
  • Ragaas of Guru Granth Sahib
  • Jewels in Gurbani
  • Gospels of The Gurus (In production stage)
  • Guru Granth Sahib a Supreme Treasure
  • Guru Granth Sahib Preachings

We are preparing more volumes to create awareness about the treasures of Sri Guru Granth Sahib which can ameliorate all the aspects of life with rich guidance and messages. Co-operation of sangat and donors is sought in a big way so as to publish all this literature for free distribution throughout the nook and corner of the globe in the next few years. It is not absurd to say that Guru Granth Sahib and the teachings of Sikh Gurus can change the scenario of the present day world. The hatred and the tension prevailing in the world society can be sublimated into love and amity if we suitably convey the message of Sarbat Da Bhalla i.e. 'Welfare Unto All', love, brotherhood, fraternity, equality, peace, truth and selfless service propounded in Guru Granth Sahib. We are sorry to say that the Sikhs could not create magnificient impact of the universal teachings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib under the slogan "tinn sau saal, guru de naal". We have our own observation in this respect. "Beet gaye ne tinn sau saal, hun tan tur pao guru de naal. All out efforts should be taken to fulfil the spirit of our following slogan: "Sagal sansar guru de naal" i.e. whole the world is in appreciation of Gurus' teachings.

The ball is in the court of the Sikhs. And now it becomes our imperative duty to redeem the world citizens from their ills through Gurbani. It is a pious duty, a noble challenge, a momentous task which requires co-operation of one and all, to match and fulfil the expectations and the needs of the humanity. Therefore, co-operation of sangat and esteemed donors is highly appreciated by the Trust and it is expected that more and more donors, Sikhs, Sangat and the readers would strengthen the Trust by their valuable contributions so as to make this noble mission functional more stoutly for better results. Without the funds, as we all know, all the activities simply keep their existence on papers only and having funds at our disposal, we pledge to do maximum as per our capacity. Satguru's blessings are always sought to make the efforts of the Trust fruitful for one and all irrespective of caste, creed, colour, region and religion and we are happy that 'His' bounties are ever showering on the Trust in one way or the other.

We reproduce our appeal for the funds in English and Panjabi and seek the blessings and financial support of the readers, lovers of Gurbani and humanity at large. Thanks.

    Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa
    Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh

THIS SHABAD LANGAR NEEDS COMMUNITY SUPPORT DESPERATELY
Alag Shabad Yug international Charitable Trust (regd.) Ludhiana came into being about fifteen years ago under the leadership of a renowned Sikh Scholar, Orator and Writer of international status. He has so far written 87 soul lifting and character building books which the trust has published with the help of the donors, sponsors and esteemed readers and are being distributed throughout the world free of any cost. All these publications which are in Panjabi, English, Hindi, Bengali and Gujrati are highly acclaimed by the readers all over the globe. Even the non-Sikh readers appreciated them overwhelmingly because these books are (i) research based, (ii) written in simple language and are (iii) under the shade of Akal Takht point of view. With the candid support of the sangat we could manage to distribute about three to four lakh books of various sizes every year. We organise shabad Langar at many places and by now we could distribute trust’s prestigious books at many cities in U.S.A., U.K., Canada, Malaysia, Australia, Thailand, Singapore and of course, India. Everywhere the books are appreciated for their beauty and beautiful contents. The books cover almost all the main issues which our community is facing, be it Apostasy, Addiction, Feticide, Lavish spending on marriages or Commercialisation of religion. Besides distributing the books nearing 100 titles, the trust has numerous other altruistic activities through which it helps the needy students, poor families, encourages the shining students and honours those persons who selflessly go on doing the sewa of society in variety of ways. Trust’s (i) International Award of excellence, (ii) Award of Dault-e-Hindustan, (iii) International Award of Shan-e-Panjab, (iv) Annual Prof. Puran Singh Dhami Memorial Awards are prestigious and are honoured by one and all as these are awarded purely on merits. Inspite of its own limited resources, the trust tries to help the deserving writers to enable them to publish their publications which are good for the society in one way or the other. The trust is lucky that many dedicated personalities residing all over the world, help the trust when Chairman of the Trust, Dr. Sarup Singh Alag approaches them for fund raising. He delivers lectures in the Gurdwaras, on T.V. Channels, Radio stations etc. to create more and more awareness about Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji to live nobly and piously. Now the problem is that Dr. Alag has achieved advance age and is not in a position to go abroad to appeal personally for raising fund to run the noble activities of the trust and in such a situation it would be impossible to run the trust for the benefit of the humanity. On the other hand the demand of trust’s publications is rising with every passing day and to meet out this demand trust does need the support of humanity lovers and Gurbani lovers to make it fully functional even Dr. Alag can not go out for fund raising. The kind donors can help the trust by their donations and can send their cheques in favour of Alag Shabad Yug Trust Ludhiana and mail them at the trust address given below. With this note all are requested to help the trust which is doing unique service single handedly without the help of any renowned agency advocating the cause of religion. One can send one’s donations direct to the trust at its Ludhiana address if one so desires. We assure that every pence donated to the trust would be utilised for the welfare of the humanity.
